Job Description:
This position will be primarily involved in supporting sample and library prep efforts related to genome sequencing test. This position will integrate development and optimization of the library prep assay as well as maintain the production output. Individual will work as a key contributor of a dynamic and collaborative team. Individual will also act as a key member in the development and launch of new assays and assist the generation of epigenomics data to support customer projects. This position will help build and guide the future development of genome sequencing implementation and offers excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement. Job Responsibilities:
Work independently or together with other employees to execute, develop, and improve single cell multi-omics assay, including but not limited to joint profiling of histone modifications and RNA in a single cell; potentially develop other assays as company needs
Work independently or together with other employees to use the analyzed single cell multi-omics data, write up paper and submit papers, patent applications, and inventions
Work independently or together with other employees to write SBIR/STTR or other grants
Design and conduct experiments to support the development and launch of new NGS-based assays
Perform benchwork for NGS-based epigenomics assays within the R&D group
Support initiatives for process improvement within the R&D group
Work with business development, sales, marketing or other teams to write up materials/presentations for BD, sales, and marketing purpose; some travel may be needed
Attend and present at conferences to promote research when requested by company; some travel may be needed
Assisted with lab management, SOP, etc.
Preparation of cells to meet the demands of multiple concurrent projects, will require flexible work hours working in concert with project scientists
Support lab operations and maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, as needed
Effectively communicating and collaborating work efforts with other team members and communicating results to customers
What can you offer?
Education/Qualifications:
PhD. required with 0-2+ years of professional experience in fields of molecular biology or biotechnology or Master with 6-8 years of experience in the same fields
Experience in NGS workflows, library preparation, and the ability to implement new technologies
Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction & purification, NGS library preparation & QC, PCR, qPCR
Strong familiarity with NGS data analysis and data interpretation is a plus
